WhatsApp has officially launched its new Apple Watch app, allowing users to stay connected without reaching for their iPhone.

The new watch app lets you read, reply, and send messages, as well as record voice messages — all right from your wrist.

The app supports many of WhatsApp’s most requested features, including:

  • Call notifications: Instantly see who’s calling without checking your phone.
  • Full message support: Read complete messages, even long ones, directly on your Apple Watch.
  • Written replies: Type and send messages straight from your watch.
  • Voice messages: Record and send quick voice notes on the go.
  • Reactions: Respond with emoji reactions to messages.
  • Improved media experience: View clearer images and stickers from chats.
  • Chat history: Scroll through more of your past messages on-screen.

As always, personal messages and calls are protected with end-to-end encryption, ensuring privacy remains a top priority.

WhatsApp for Apple Watch is compatible with Apple Watch Series 4 or later, running watchOS 10 or higher. Meta says this is “just the start,” with plans to continue improving the app based on user feedback.

With this update, WhatsApp users can finally enjoy a complete messaging experience on Apple Watch, bringing convenience and privacy to your wrist.
