Sweden-based caller ID app Truecaller has reached a major milestone, announcing that it now has 500 million monthly active users.
The company said more than 150 million of these users are outside India, while its largest market, India, accounts for over 350 million users.
Truecaller added around 50 million new users in 2025 alone, and its overall user base has doubled over the past five years. Just a year ago, in April 2025, the company reported having more than 450 million users. It also shared that over 4 million people are currently subscribed to its paid plans.
CEO Rishit Jhunjhunwala said the growth reflects a rising need for tools that help people deal with spam calls, scams, and unwanted communication.
He explained that reaching 500 million users shows both the scale of the problem and the trust users place in Truecaller to make communication safer.
The company said it is continuing to invest in smarter technology and new features that can protect users before, during, and after calls or messages. Its long-term goal is to build a safer and more reliable communication ecosystem, with an ambitious target of reaching 1 billion users.
