Apple is expected to reveal the next iOS 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 7, tvOS 14 and macOS 10.16 versions during its upcoming virtual WWDC event starting June 22.

There’s good news on that front: all iPhone models that can run iOS 13 will also be able to run iOS 14 when it comes out. That means all of the following iPhone models will be compatible with iOS 14 and all of its new features. And as you can see below, the iPhones coming out in the fall of 2020 will come with iOS 14 preinstalled, which should be no surprise.

  • iPhone SE (2nd generation)
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max
  • iPhone 11 Pro
  • iPhone 11
  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone XS Max
  • iPhone XS
  • iPhone X
  • iPhone 8 Plus
  • iPhone 8
  • iPhone 7 Plus
  • iPhone 7
  • iPhone SE (1st generation)
  • iPhone 6S Plus
  • iPhone 6S

As you can see, that list overlaps precisely with the iOS 13 supported devices, so owners of the iPhone 6 which is getting very long in the tooth, and up, will get one more year of new features from Apple with the iOS 14 update.
