Spotify has rolled out a completely redesigned version of its Apple TV app, rebuilt from the ground up to deliver a faster, smarter, and more visual experience.

The new tvOS update brings several long-awaited features from Spotify’s mobile app, including video podcasts, music videos, and AI-powered recommendations through Spotify DJ.

Some users started receiving the update earlier this month, but it’s now officially available to everyone via Apple’s App Store. Devices with automatic updates will get the new version by mid-November. The redesign addresses long-standing user complaints about poor navigation and missing features that were already available on other platforms, such as Google TV.

One of the biggest highlights is the introduction of music videos—although this feature isn’t available in the US and Canada yet. It’s currently live in 97 markets worldwide for Spotify Premium subscribers and can be accessed through a “switch to video” prompt that appears when a song has an accompanying music video.

The update also adds video podcasts, allowing users to watch shows directly on their Apple TV with adjustable playback speed. Earlier this month, Spotify announced a partnership with Netflix and The Ringer to bring 16 video podcast series to Netflix starting in 2026, including The Bill Simmons Podcast and other shows covering the NFL, NBA, Fantasy Football, and F1.

In addition, the new Apple TV app now supports queue management, seamless playback, on-screen song lyrics, and full integration with Spotify Connect—allowing users to control playback using their smartphone or tablet. The lyrics even turn your TV into a karaoke-style setup, making music listening more interactive and fun.
