Spotify is enhancing its AI DJ experience by introducing voice command support, allowing premium users to interact with the feature more dynamically.
Now available in English across over 60 markets, users can ask the DJ to change the mood, switch genres, or play music from specific artists using voice input.
To access the new feature, users can search for the AI DJ in the app and hold the DJ button at the bottom right to make voice requests. A quick tap on the button adjusts the playlist’s vibe without needing a spoken command.
Initially launched in February 2023 in the U.S. and Canada, and expanded globally in August 2023, the AI DJ previously only offered music with occasional commentary. Spotify also added a Spanish-speaking DJ version last year.
The latest update brings more interactivity, complementing Spotify’s other AI-driven tools like text-based playlist creation.
