Snap has surpassed 30 million paid subscribers across its premium Snapchat services, the company announced Wednesday in its third-quarter 2026 earnings report. The milestone marks a 5 million subscriber increase since February, when Snap reported crossing the 25 million mark.
Launched in 2022, Snapchat+ offers exclusive and early-access features for $3.99 per month. Snap has since expanded its subscription lineup with additional paid tiers, including Lens+, which costs $8.99 per month and provides access to exclusive augmented reality experiences, and Snapchat+ Platinum. This $15.99 monthly plan removes advertisements.
The subscriber milestone comes a year after Snap introduced limits on free storage for its Memories feature. Users were informed they would need to pay $1.99 per month for additional storage or subscribe to Snapchat+ to retain their saved Memories beyond the free allowance.
“We surpassed 30 million paid subscribers across Snapchat+, Memories Storage, and Lens+,” CEO Evan Spiegel said in the investor letter. He added that AI-powered features helped Lens+ exceed expectations, while paid subscribers still represent a small portion of Snapchat’s monthly community.
Despite the subscription growth, Snap’s shares fell 12% after the company missed estimates for advertising revenue and user growth.
Snap reported 495 million daily active users in the third quarter, up from 493 million in the previous quarter but below analysts’ expectations of 499 million.

The company said it does not intend to prioritize daily usage at the expense of long-term value for its community. Spiegel said Snap plans to focus on improving advertising performance and expanding the ways businesses can reach users, as advertising revenue growth remains below its target
