Samsung has released a new update for its SmartThings app that now works with Siri Shortcuts, allowing Apple users to control their smart homes more easily using voice commands.

With this update, you can ask Siri to run SmartThings routines directly from your iPhone, iPad, HomePod, or Apple Watch.

Siri Shortcuts is a feature in iOS that helps automate tasks with simple voice commands. Thanks to the new integration, SmartThings users can now trigger routines such as turning on the lights, starting the coffee maker, or opening the blinds just by talking to Siri. For example, saying “Hey Siri, good morning” could automatically activate your SmartThings morning routine.

Samsung has also improved the SmartThings experience for Apple devices. On the Apple Watch, users can now see all their connected devices, send commands, and run routines right from their wrist. The SmartThings app for iOS has also been updated to support Live Activities, letting you view and control up to five recently used devices directly from your lock screen.

This update makes it easier than ever for Apple and SmartThings users to work together, offering a smoother and more connected smart home experience.
