Payoneer has announced that it will begin closing inactive receiving accounts that haven’t processed any payments in the last two years.
The cleanup initiative is scheduled to take effect on August 30, 2025.
According to the company, affected users have been notified via email, listing the specific accounts that are subject to closure. To keep these accounts active, users simply need to receive at least one payment into them before the deadline.
Payoneer emphasized that this action applies only to inactive receiving accounts. All other active accounts will remain unaffected and continue to function normally. Any funds already in a user’s Payoneer balance will also remain accessible.
Users who miss the deadline will lose access to the inactive accounts but will have the option to open new receiving accounts in the future if needed.
