OpenAI is reportedly testing a new, more affordable subscription plan for ChatGPT users.
This new plan, possibly called ChatGPT Go, would be cheaper than the current ChatGPT Plus plan, which costs $20 per month.
According to reports, the new plan is aimed at casual users who do not need high-end features like advanced voice tools, Deep Research, or access to the most powerful models. The expected price of the new plan could be between $10 to $15 per month.
This move comes as OpenAI continues to expand its offerings and make ChatGPT more accessible. The company already offers multiple paid tiers, including:
- ChatGPT Plus for $20/month with access to GPT-4o
- ChatGPT Pro for $200/month with access to advanced reasoning models like o1
- ChatGPT Team and Enterprise plans for business users
The new cheaper plan may give users limited access to models such as o3, instead of the more powerful versions offered in the Plus and Pro plans. While full details are not confirmed yet, the launch could come alongside the expected release of GPT-5.
OpenAI is also said to be exploring other flexible pricing options, including weekly and lifetime subscription models. These new plans could help more users try premium AI tools without committing to higher monthly fees.
If launched, the ChatGPT Go plan would give light users a middle-ground option—more powerful than the free version, but more affordable than Plus or Pro.

For now, users can continue to use the free version with limited features or choose the Plus plan for full access to GPT-4o and faster responses. OpenAI is expected to share more information soon as it prepares for its next wave of updates.
