Nvidia is bringing artificial intelligence power straight to the desktop with the launch of its DGX Spark, a compact “personal AI supercomputer” designed for developers, researchers, and students.

The powerful little machine goes on sale Wednesday, October 15, through Nvidia’s website and select US retailers.

The company had initially announced Spark earlier this year at around $3,000, but the final retail price has been set at $3,999, according to Nvidia’s latest press materials. Several PC makers, including Acer, Asus, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, and MSI, will also offer their own versions. Acer’s Veriton GN100, for example, will sell for the same $3,999 price tag.

Despite its small size, Spark delivers performance that once required access to large, power-hungry data centers. It’s powered by Nvidia’s GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, with 128GB of unified memory and up to 4TB of NVMe SSD storage. Nvidia says Spark can reach a petaflop of AI performance — that’s a million billion calculations per second — and can handle AI models with as many as 200 billion parameters. It plugs into a standard power outlet and is small enough to fit comfortably on a desk.

When Nvidia first unveiled the system earlier this year, CEO Jensen Huang said putting “an AI supercomputer on the desks of every data scientist, AI researcher, and student” would help more people participate in shaping the age of AI. Huang was also seen holding a Spark prototype during his CES 2025 keynote, calling it “the world’s smallest AI supercomputer.”

Nvidia believes Spark will help democratize AI computing by giving individuals the kind of performance that was previously limited to institutions with deep pockets and massive infrastructure. The company also confirmed that manufacturers are free to design their own versions of Spark, meaning buyers will soon see multiple variations on the market.

There’s also a larger model called Station, but Nvidia hasn’t shared if or when it will be available to the public. For now, the DGX Spark looks like the most powerful desktop-sized AI computer anyone can buy.
