Nvidia has unveiled a powerful new tool for developers that blends 3D modeling with AI image generation.
Called the Nvidia AI Blueprint for 3D-guided generative AI, the tool is now available for download on systems equipped with an Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU or higher.
This new workflow integrates Blender, a popular 3D modeling software, with FLUX.1, an image generator developed by Black Forest Lab. Developers can use 3D objects — such as buildings, animals, or vehicles — to create a rough layout in Blender, which then serves as a reference for generating detailed 2D images. This approach offers greater creative control compared to traditional text-to-image generation tools.

The generated images reflect the composition, object positioning, and perspective defined in the 3D scene. Even low-detail 3D models are sufficient, as the system only uses them as a layout blueprint. This is ideal for creators who envision specific scenes, like cityscapes or nature environments, but struggle to describe them with text prompts alone.
Nvidia describes the AI Blueprint as a “pre-defined, customizable AI workflow” that includes documentation, sample assets, and a preconfigured setup to simplify the development process. While Adobe previewed a similar concept, called Project Concept, during its MAX event last year, Nvidia’s offering is publicly available today and is designed for practical use in generative AI development.
