NASA’s ad-free streaming service, NASA Plus, which launched in November 2023, is expanding its reach.
Starting this summer, its live programming, including rocket launches, spacewalks, mission coverage, and live Earth views from the International Space Station, will also stream on Netflix at no additional cost to subscribers.
While Netflix does require a subscription, the NASA content will be a free bonus and remain ad-free, as it is on the NASA Plus platform.
“Partnering with Netflix allows us to increase engagement and inspire a global audience in today’s media landscape,” the agency said, citing Netflix’s reach of over 700 million users.
The deal is non-exclusive. NASA Plus will continue to be available for free via NASA’s official website and app, which supports iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV.
