Microsoft has started rolling out its new Gaming Copilot to all Windows 11 users, just a month after initial testing in the Game Bar.

The AI-powered assistant will appear as a widget inside the Game Bar, with global availability everywhere except mainland China.

Gaming Copilot includes a voice mode that lets players ask questions without leaving their game, even analyzing screenshots to provide answers about in-game challenges. It can also recommend games, track Xbox achievements, and offer gameplay tips directly in real time.

The feature will expand to the Xbox mobile app on iOS and Android next month, allowing players to use it as a second-screen companion. Microsoft also plans to optimize the experience for its upcoming Xbox Ally handheld and bring the tool to consoles “in the near future.”

Long-term, Microsoft envisions Gaming Copilot as a true AI gaming coach, capable of analyzing matches and suggesting strategies. In early demonstrations, the tool recommended hero picks in Overwatch 2 to complement team compositions.
