Microsoft has begun rolling out the beta version of its AI-powered Gaming Copilot to Windows 11 systems for users aged 18 and older, excluding those in mainland China. Branded as a “personal gaming sidekick,” Gaming Copilot will also be available in the Xbox mobile app on iOS and Android starting next month.
PC users can access Gaming Copilot directly in the Game Bar by installing the Xbox PC app, pressing Win + G, and clicking on the Gaming Copilot widget. After logging into their Xbox account, players can ask the AI assistant for in-game tips, check achievements, browse play history, or even get personalized game recommendations. Voice Mode is also supported for hands-free assistance.
“A major step in Xbox’s journey to bring these AI-powered experiences to players is rolling out: Gaming Copilot – which provides recommendations, help, insights, and more – is officially coming to Windows PC and Xbox on mobile,” Microsoft said in its announcement.
The rollout follows earlier testing of Gaming Copilot (then called Copilot for Gaming) on iOS and Android in May, later expanding to Xbox Insiders on PC in August. Players who don’t want to use it can easily remove the widget via Game Bar settings.
