Microsoft is testing a new Windows 11 feature that lets users continue Android apps on their PC, starting with Spotify.
The feature is currently available for Windows Insiders in the Dev and Beta Channels. When linked through the Phone Link app, users can play a song on Spotify from their Android phone and then see a “Resume from your phone” notification on their PC taskbar. Clicking the notification either opens Spotify on the desktop or prompts installation, allowing the same song to continue playing seamlessly.
This cross-device feature is similar to Apple’s Handoff, which lets iPhone and Mac users pick up tasks across devices. For now, Microsoft is limiting the test to Spotify, but more apps are expected to be supported in the future.
