Microsoft is expanding the choice of AI models available in its productivity apps by bringing Grok to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
The company has already made xAI’s Grok models available through its Microsoft Foundry service, and it is now bringing them directly into Copilot. Microsoft Frontier users can select Grok from the model picker when using Copilot in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Microsoft says the integration is initially being released as a preview so it can gather feedback from users. This gives Office Copilot users more flexibility in choosing which AI model they want to use for their work.
With Grok now joining the lineup, users can choose between OpenAI’s GPT models, Anthropic’s Claude models, and xAI’s Grok models directly within Microsoft’s productivity apps.
