Microsoft is working to fix an ongoing problem that has been preventing many users in Europe from accessing its AI-powered Copilot assistant.

Even for those who can get in, some features may not work properly or may respond more slowly than usual. The company confirmed the issue after users in the United Kingdom reported that they were unable to use the service as expected.

Microsoft said its initial checks showed that a sudden and unexpected surge in traffic caused the outage. This spike in usage created a capacity problem, leading to access failures and reduced performance. The company explained that its automated systems were unable to scale fast enough to meet the increased demand, which resulted in the disruption.

To stabilize the service, Microsoft engineers are now manually increasing system capacity while continuing to monitor performance. They say this should gradually restore access and improve functionality for affected users across the UK and Europe.
