Meta has quietly introduced a new AI-powered app called Pocket, giving users a simple way to create and share small interactive apps and games using text prompts.
The app appears to be the latest result of Meta’s acquisition of the team behind the AI gaming platform Gizmo earlier this year and is designed as a creative space where anyone can build and explore AI-generated interactive experiences known as “gizmos.”
Pocket features a discovery feed that allows users to browse and play creations made by others, making it easy to explore new AI-generated games and mini apps. Screenshots from the Google Play listing show that the app closely resembles the original Gizmo platform, which also used written prompts to generate interactive experiences and included a similar community feed.
The app was first spotted by reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi, who shared its Google Play listing on X. According to app intelligence firm Appfigures, Pocket actually launched on both the App Store and Google Play on June 29, 2026. Because the app is still very new, download figures are not yet available.
Meta has not officially announced Pocket or commented on its release, suggesting the app may still be in an early testing phase. Despite the quiet launch, Pocket highlights the company’s growing investment in AI-powered creative tools that make content creation more accessible to everyday users.
The new app expands Meta’s broader AI strategy, which already includes AI image generation through the Meta AI app, AI video creation with Vibes, AI features integrated across its social media platforms, and AI-powered editing tools in its creator-focused app, Edits.
Pocket builds on the success of Gizmo, which recorded around 635,000 lifetime downloads across iOS and Android, according to Appfigures. The analytics firm also reported that Gizmo maintained a 98% positive user sentiment, indicating strong interest in AI-powered interactive content creation.
