Reports of an Instagram outage in the U.S. dropped significantly on Thursday evening, suggesting that the issue has been mostly resolved.
According to outage-tracking site Downdetector.com, incident reports fell from 19,431 to just 429 by 8:34 p.m. ET.
Instagram’s parent company, Meta, has not yet commented on the outage. Downdetector tracks outages using user-submitted reports, meaning the number of affected users may vary.
