Instagram has introduced a small but genuinely useful feature that lets users edit their own comments after posting them, meaning no more deleting and rewriting just to fix a typo or awkward wording.

The platform gives you a 15-minute window to make changes after a comment is posted. During that time, you can edit the comment as many times as you want. Once you tap on your comment, an Edit option appears, letting you quickly update what you wrote. After any change, Instagram adds a subtle “Edited” label next to the comment so others know it has been modified.

While this may sound like a minor update, it solves a long-standing annoyance. Instagram has grown into a massive platform with billions of users, and even small improvements like this can make everyday interactions feel smoother. Instead of rushing to get a comment perfect before posting, users now have a short grace period to clean things up.

The feature had been quietly tested with some users before rolling out more broadly, and it is already appearing for people using the app.
