Google is adding Venmo as a payment option on Google Play, giving users in the U.S. another way to pay for apps, games, in-app purchases, add-ons, and other digital content.
Users will be able to use their Venmo wallet or payment methods linked to their Venmo account, including bank accounts and cards. The option can also be used for subscriptions and for tipping creators within supported content-based apps.
To connect Venmo, users can open the payment methods section in their Google account settings and link their Venmo account. Google Play already supports several other payment options in the U.S., including PayPal, Cash App and major credit and debit cards from American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and JCB.
