Bluesky has introduced a new feature that gives users more control over what appears in their feeds.
The platform now lets you hide reposts from specific people, which could be useful if someone you follow frequently reposts content that you are not interested in seeing.
The new option works on an individual basis, so you do not have to unfollow or mute someone just because you want to stop seeing their reposts. To use it, open the person’s profile, tap the three-dot menu, and select “Hide reposts in feeds.” Once enabled, reposts from that person will no longer appear in your feeds.
Bluesky is also testing another feature that could make long conversations easier to follow. The platform has started rolling out a beta option that automatically adds post numbers to threads.
With numbered posts, users can quickly see how long a thread is and get an idea of how much content they have left to read. It also removes the need for users to manually number their posts when creating long threads.
The thread numbering feature can be enabled through Bluesky’s settings. Similar post-count features are already available on other social platforms, including Meta’s Threads.
