Google Messages is getting a long-awaited update that allows users to share their live location directly in chats.
The feature is simple to use. You just open a conversation, tap on the attachment option, and select real-time location.
Once enabled, you can choose how long you want to share your location or keep it active until you turn it off manually. This makes it easier to let friends and family know where you are, especially during travel or meetups.
While this feature has been available for years on apps like WhatsApp, iMessage, and Facebook Messenger, it is only now arriving on Google Messages. Even though it is a bit late, it still adds a useful layer of convenience and safety for users who rely on the platform.
