Google’s AI chatbot Gemini has crossed 750 million monthly active users, highlighting its rapid rise in the competitive AI market.

The figure was disclosed during Google’s fourth-quarter 2025 earnings call and marks a sharp jump from the 650 million users reported just one quarter earlier.

Gemini’s growth now places it ahead of Meta AI, which has around 500 million monthly users, though it still trails ChatGPT, estimated to have about 810 million users in late 2025. Google attributes much of this momentum to the recent launch of Gemini 3, its most advanced model to date, which promises deeper and more nuanced responses.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai said Gemini 3 has been a “positive driver” for user growth, adding that continued investment in AI will help sustain this pace. The company has also introduced a lower-priced Google AI Plus subscription at $7.99 per month, aimed at expanding access, though it was launched too recently to impact the latest results.

Gemini’s success comes alongside a major milestone for Alphabet, which reported more than $400 billion in annual revenue for the first time. Google credits much of this achievement to rising demand for AI products and infrastructure, including its new Ironwood TPU chips designed to compete with Nvidia.
