Google has announced several new autofill improvements coming to Chrome on both mobile and desktop, expanding what the browser can automatically fill in and making suggestions more accurate and easier to understand.

The updates allow Chrome to pull additional information from your Google Account and Google Wallet, helping users complete online forms faster and with fewer errors.

The first change brings support for autofilling more personal information—including your name, email address, and saved home or work addresses—directly from your Google Account when signed into Chrome on desktop, Android, or iOS. On Android, autofill suggestions are also getting a visual upgrade: instead of a single condensed line above the keyboard, Chrome will now display two-line suggestions that offer more context. This helps distinguish between similar entries, such as contacts with the same name or multiple saved addresses.

Google is further enhancing Chrome’s ability to handle international address formats. The browser will now better interpret addresses that include complex regional details—such as Mexican addresses referencing two cross-streets—and plans to introduce support for phonetic names in Japan later this year.

Chrome is also expanding autofill capabilities tied to Google Wallet. Last month, the browser added support for autofilling sensitive details like passport numbers, driver’s licenses, loyalty cards, and vehicle information for users with “enhanced autofill” enabled. Now, both desktop and Android versions of Chrome can access upcoming travel bookings saved in Google Wallet, allowing Chrome to automatically fill in airline arrival times, dates, and other travel-related details—ideal for tasks like renting a car or checking into a hotel online.
