Chainalysis took its Reactor and Data Solutions products offline as it responded to ongoing cyber threats linked to a breach that exposed customer identity data, according to the company’s incident update.

The company said its compliance transaction-monitoring products would continue operating while outside cybersecurity experts carried out additional security assessments.

Chainalysis said an external actor used what it described as “offensive agentic techniques” to access its systems and internal tools during October. The accessed information included some platform users’ IDs, full names, email addresses and organizational role labels. The company has not disclosed how many records were accessed or identified the initial access method.

The company said it found no indication that investigation content, transaction or query results, clear-text passwords, multifactor authentication secrets or user session tokens were accessed. Chainalysis also said the incident was unrelated to the separate Binance hack. A November 3 update from Help Net Security reported that the two products remained offline while the security assessment continued.
