Brave is adding a new privacy feature that lets users create email aliases directly from the browser when signing up for websites and online services.
The feature allows users to provide a generated email address instead of their personal email address. Messages sent to the alias are then forwarded to the user’s primary inbox, meaning they can still receive account notifications and other important emails without exposing their real address.
Brave says the feature is designed to reduce spam and help break cross-site tracking. Because different services can use different aliases, users can avoid giving multiple websites the same email address, making it harder to connect their activity across services.
The Email Aliases feature is available with Brave’s desktop version 1.94. Users need a Brave account to use the service.
