Apple has announced a new 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by its latest M5 chip, delivering faster performance, better graphics, and a significant leap in AI capabilities.

The new M5 chip features a next-generation GPU and a Neural Accelerator in each core, providing up to 3.5x faster AI performance and 1.6x faster graphics compared to the previous generation.

The updated MacBook Pro also includes a more efficient CPU, enhanced Neural Engine, and higher memory bandwidth making everything from launching apps to running large language models smoother and faster. Apple claims the laptop offers up to 24 hours of battery life, allowing professionals to work longer on the go.

Other notable features include the Liquid Retina XDR display with a nano-texture option, 12MP Center Stage camera, six-speaker sound system, and multiple ports. It also runs on macOS Tahoe and supports Apple’s new Apple Intelligence features for on-device AI tasks.

The new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 starts at $1,599 and is available in space black and silver. Pre-orders are open now, with general availability beginning October 22.
