Apple has officially confirmed its next big event called “Awe Dropping”, where it will launch the iPhone 17 series.

The event will take place on September 9, 2025, at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, starting at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT. Fans worldwide can watch it live on Apple’s website, the Apple TV app, and YouTube.

The new iPhone 17 lineup is expected to include iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a new iPhone 17 Air. The iPhone 17 Air is rumored to be Apple’s slimmest phone ever, just 5.5 mm thick, with a 6.6-inch display. The design may also feature a Pixel-style camera bar for a fresh new look.

Big camera upgrades are also expected. Reports suggest a 24 MP front camera and 48 MP telephoto lens with up to 8x optical zoom for the Pro models. All devices will run on iOS 26, which introduces a new “Liquid Glass” design with glossy and transparent effects across the interface.

Apart from iPhones, Apple may also announce the Apple Watch Series 11, Watch Ultra 3, Watch SE 3, AirPods Pro 3, HomePod 3, and a new Apple TV 4K. Updates on macOS Tahoe and the rollout date for iOS 26 are also expected.

Pre-orders for the iPhone 17 series could open on September 12, and the phones may hit stores by September 19–20.
