Android and iPhone users can now share files more easily, starting with the Pixel 10 series.
Many people have said that sharing photos, videos, and other files between different devices feels complicated. Google is now solving this by making Quick Share work with Apple’s AirDrop.
This new update allows fast and simple file sharing between iPhones and Android phones, as if both devices were using the same system. The feature is rolling out first to the Pixel 10 family, and other Android devices will get it later.
Google says the feature is built with strong security protections, and it has been tested by independent experts to make sure user data stays safe. It is part of Google’s ongoing effort to improve compatibility between Android and iOS, similar to what the company has already done with RCS messaging and unknown tracker alerts.
Google has also shared a video showing how Quick Share works on the Pixel 10 Pro. If you have a Pixel 10 device, you can try the new sharing experience today.
