Amazon is launching a new delivery service that promises to bring orders to customers in 30 minutes or less.

The feature, now available in Seattle and Philadelphia, is designed to compete directly with fast-delivery apps like DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Instacart.

Customers can order a wide range of everyday essentials, including milk, eggs, fruits, toothpaste, makeup, pet treats, diapers, electronics, snacks, and over-the-counter medicines. Prime members can use the new delivery option for a $3.99 fee, while non-Prime customers will pay $13.99. A small-basket fee of $1.99 applies to orders under $15.

People in the two cities can now check the Amazon app or homepage for the “30-Minute Delivery” section to see if it’s available in their neighborhood. After placing an order, customers can track deliveries and tip drivers through the app.
