YouTube is increasing the cost of its Premium and Music subscriptions in the United States, the company confirmed on Friday.
The individual YouTube Premium plan is rising from $13.99 to $15.99 per month, while the family plan will go from $22.99 to $26.99. The YouTube Premium Lite option, which removes ads from most videos except music content, is also getting a price bump from $7.99 to $8.99 per month.
YouTube Music is seeing similar changes, with the individual plan increasing from $10.99 to $11.99 per month and the family plan moving up from $16.99 to $18.99.
The company says the new pricing will apply to both new and existing subscribers, with current users set to receive an email at least 30 days before the updated rates take effect.
