YouTube Music has turned 10 and is marking the milestone with the launch of a new feature called “taste match” playlists.
These shared playlists refresh daily and evolve based on what you and your friends are listening to, offering a fun way to discover music together.
The feature works similarly to Spotify’s Blend, automatically highlighting overlapping music preferences among users. It’s part of YouTube Music’s push to make the platform more social and engaging.
Alongside taste match, YouTube Music is also rolling out new tools, including the ability to comment on albums and playlists, expanded visibility of upcoming concerts through a Bandsintown integration, and notifications for new releases, merch drops, and event dates.
