Microsoft is adding a new feature to Windows 11 that lets users quickly check their Wi-Fi network speed directly from the taskbar.
With just a few clicks, you’ll be able to run a speed test without digging into settings or downloading third-party apps.
The network icon in the system tray's context menu and the Wi-Fi quick settings page in Windows 11 are getting buttons to let you quickly run a network speed test. (Takes you to Bing to do the speed test.) pic.twitter.com/ZXcQvs5BP8

The catch? The shortcut launches Bing to perform the test, rather than running it natively within Windows. While this provides quick access, it also means users will be redirected to Microsoft’s search engine every time they want to check their connection speed.
