WhatsApp has just rolled out a major update that makes using the app inside your car much easier and more intuitive.
With expanded support for Apple CarPlay, users can now call and message friends and family directly from the car’s interface without relying only on voice commands.
Previously, WhatsApp worked with CarPlay in a limited way, mostly through Siri. Now, the experience feels much more complete. The updated version introduces a fully native CarPlay interface, showing a list of recent chats and call history right on the screen. There’s also a dedicated section for favorite contacts, so reaching the people you talk to most takes just a tap.
The update also adds quick access buttons that let you send messages through dictation or make calls instantly. This makes communication smoother and safer while driving, since you don’t need to navigate through your phone.
After being tested over the past week, the feature is now available to everyone. To use it, simply update WhatsApp on your iPhone to the latest version and connect your phone to a CarPlay-supported vehicle.
