WhatsApp has announced that it is enabling passwordless logins with passkeys for Android users.
Passkeys are a new type of cryptographic credential that is more secure and convenient than traditional passwords.

Passkeys are more secure than passwords because they are not stored on the user’s device or in the cloud. Instead, they are stored on the user’s phone in a secure enclave. This makes them more resistant to phishing attacks and other forms of cybercrime.
