Italian regulators have dealt a major blow to TikTok, fining the short-form video platform €10 million (nearly $11M USD) over concerns regarding the safety of minors on its platform.

Italy’s competition and consumer authority, the AGCM, cited TikTok’s failure to properly monitor dangerous content.
