Meta’s Threads platform has a new home on the web — Threads.com.

Previously hosted at Threads.net, the platform now redirects to its newly acquired domain, a move expected to reduce confusion and improve accessibility.

Meta purchased the Threads.com domain in September 2023 but only recently activated the redirect.

In addition to the domain change, Threads is rolling out several updates to enhance the desktop experience. Users can now view custom feeds in the same order they’ve arranged on mobile. Liked and saved posts are now easier to access from the site’s main menu, streamlining navigation without needing to pin columns to the homepage.

A handy new “+” button at the bottom-right corner of the screen lets users start composing a post instantly. Threads is also testing a feature that allows users to upload their follower list from other apps — starting with X (formerly Twitter) — to help locate familiar profiles. You can now copy Threads posts as images for easy sharing on platforms like Instagram.

These updates come shortly after Threads began rolling out ads in over 30 countries, including the US, and introduced an option to set following or custom feeds as the default view.
