SpaceX’s Starlink Mini dish is now accessible to all consumers in the United States.

This compact internet-from-space kit integrates a dish and Wi-Fi router into a sleek, weatherproof design. The new Mini version is not only significantly smaller but also more energy-efficient compared to previous Starlink kits.

The Starlink Mini’s all-in-one design is about the size of a laptop and can be powered via a USB-PD power source capable of delivering 100W (20V/5A). This means users can power it with anything from a small power bank, which provides about an hour of usage, to a solar generator, offering connectivity for several days.

Initially, the Starlink Mini was exclusively available as an add-on for existing Residential subscribers in the U.S. However, just weeks after its launch, it has become widely available to a broader audience, including vanlifers and digital nomads seeking reliable internet access wherever they travel.

The Starlink Mini hardware is priced at $599 and offers two service plans: Regional and Mini Roam. The Regional plan costs $150 per month and provides unlimited portable data across North America, with the option to pay per GB for in-motion use.

The Mini Roam plan, priced at $50 per month, offers 50GB of portable or in-motion data on the continent, with additional data available on a per-GB basis. Both services offer the flexibility to be paused during periods of inactivity.

SpaceX’s expansion of the Starlink Mini availability marks a significant step in providing versatile and portable internet solutions for users on the move.
