Roblox is changing its long-term strategy as it looks to attract more adult players to its platform.

After introducing age verification in 2025, the company says a growing share of its users are now over 18, and this group is proving to be more willing to spend money than younger players.

According to Roblox’s 2025 year-end earnings report, around 45 percent of its daily active users have completed an age check. Among those verified users, 27 percent are adults. Roblox noted that spending from this age group is higher compared to users under 18, making adult players an important focus for future growth.

To appeal to older audiences, Roblox plans to expand more “high-fidelity” game experiences on its platform. The company says it will prioritize popular and high-earning genres such as shooters, role-playing games, sports titles, and racing games. Roblox is also placing greater emphasis on improving performance and graphics quality to better match the expectations of adult gamers.

This shift comes as Roblox continues to face legal pressure related to child safety in the United States. The company has been named in multiple lawsuits over concerns about how children are protected on the platform. In response, Roblox has rolled out several safety updates, including age-gated content, clearer content labels, experience ratings, and stronger parental control tools. While improving safety for younger users, Roblox now appears equally focused on building a platform that can keep older players engaged long-term.
