The ransomware group Hunters International has published stolen data from Tata Technologies, weeks after the Indian company confirmed a ransomware attack that disrupted some services.

The leaked data, found on the gang’s dark web leak site, includes personal details of current and former employees, purchase orders, and contracts with customers in India and the United States.

According to Hunters International, the stolen dataset contains over 730,000 documents totaling 1.4 terabytes of data, including Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and PDFs. Tata Technologies had previously reported a ransomware attack in January, stating that only a few IT assets were affected, while client services remained fully functional. However, it is unclear whether the leaked data is linked to this specific incident. Tata Technologies has not yet commented on the breach.

Hunters International emerged in late 2023 as a ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) group, renting out its hacking infrastructure to cybercriminals and taking a cut of ransom payments. The group is believed to have ties with the Hive ransomware gang, which was disrupted by law enforcement in 2023. In 2022, Hive had leaked stolen data from Tata Power, another Tata Group company.
