OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Gov, a specialized version of its AI chatbot tailored for U.S. government agencies.
The new platform provides secure access to OpenAI’s advanced models, including GPT-4o, while ensuring compliance with government security and privacy standards.
Government agencies can deploy ChatGPT Gov within their Microsoft Azure cloud instance, allowing for better control over sensitive, non-public data. The platform comes with features similar to ChatGPT Enterprise, including:
- Secure workspaces with the ability to save and share conversations
- Custom GPT building tools for agency-specific tasks
- An administrative console for IT teams to manage usage and security
OpenAI is also working with the UK government to introduce a similar AI chatbot for the UK.gov website.
