Microsoft has rolled out several exciting Xbox updates this March, introducing a refreshed look for the Game Bar on PC, a new Cloud Gaming feature, and additional perks for free-to-play titles through Game Pass.

The Game Bar on PC, which allows users to launch games, control audio settings, and monitor performance, now sports a cleaner and more streamlined design. The Home Bar and widgets, including Capture, Performance, Resource, and the Widget Store, have been redesigned with a more lightweight appearance, removing excess lines and colors for a more modern feel. Microsoft says this is just the beginning, with more visual updates on the way.

This update coincides with Discord’s recent UI overhaul, which improved section spacing and introduced a full dark mode overlay. Both Game Bar and Discord allow users to view widgets while gaming, enhancing multitasking capabilities.

In Cloud Gaming, Xbox has introduced a new feature that lets players switch between games seamlessly without returning to the Home page. Currently, this functionality is available for select Assassin’s Creed titles, but Xbox has confirmed that support will expand to more games soon. Additionally, Cloud Gaming is increasing the number of titles that support the Stream Your Own Game feature, giving players even greater flexibility.

Xbox is also expanding in-game perks for free-to-play titles through Game Pass. Players can now claim bonuses in Heroes in the Storm, while Call of Duty: Warzone is set to join in April. These perks include free cosmetics, characters, in-game currency, and more for popular titles like Overwatch 2 and Valorant.

With these latest updates, Microsoft continues to refine the Xbox gaming experience, offering players a sleeker interface, improved Cloud Gaming features, and exclusive in-game rewards.
