Microsoft is introducing a wave of powerful AI features to Windows 11, with several tools now rolling out gradually to users.

All Windows 11 users can now access Copilot Vision through the Copilot app. This tool utilizes AI to analyze the content on your screen, encompassing apps, webpages, and documents, and allows you to ask natural-language questions aloud. For example, you can ask how to enhance a photo’s lighting or inquire about details from an open article. Microsoft initially tested a limited version of this last year, but the full feature is now available.

Users with Snapdragon-powered Copilot Plus PCs are getting even more advanced AI tools. An AI-powered agent inside the Settings app allows users to search for and perform settings changes using natural language, such as “connect Bluetooth device” or “enable quiet hours.” If the AI is capable, it can even carry out the task for you.

Microsoft is also expanding its Click to Do feature, available by holding the Windows key and left-clicking on content. This allows users to summarize text, launch Copilot in Microsoft Word, schedule Teams meetings, and practice reading fluency using the Reading Coach tool.

Other exclusive features for Copilot Plus PCs include an AI-powered object selection tool and sticker generator in Paint, AI lighting adjustments in the Photos app, and a “perfect screenshot” tool in the Snipping Tool for accurately capturing content on-screen.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is rolling out general improvements for all Windows 11 PCs, such as a color picker in the Snipping Tool and a new system that can automatically fix problems that cause unexpected restarts. These features will become available over the next month through the latest Windows preview update and updates from the Microsoft Store.
