Microsoft is currently investigating a bug in OneDrive that is preventing users from finding their files via search, even though the files still exist and are accessible.

The issue, which began surfacing earlier this month, affects Windows, Android, iOS, and web users.

According to a support document updated this week, some personal account holders are reporting blank search results or results that fail to return files they know are in their OneDrive. “The issue appears to affect a subset of users,” Microsoft stated, adding that there’s no workaround or ETA for a fix at this time.

“We recognize the impact this issue is having and want to reassure you that we’re working with urgency to resolve it,” the company said, urging users to remain patient as the investigation continues.

Microsoft is also looking into a separate OneDrive iOS bug where slo-mo videos uploaded to the platform are playing at normal speed. As a temporary fix, users are advised to share videos directly from the iOS gallery to OneDrive instead of relying on automatic uploads or manual transfers.

This follows another recent issue Microsoft resolved in January, where macOS users running macOS 15 Sequoia experienced app freezes when opening or saving files via OneDrive.
