Microsoft has unveiled a new wave of AI-powered experiences for Copilot+ PCs, aiming to make everyday tasks on Windows 11 smarter and more intuitive.

Among the highlights is a new AI agent system designed to help users find and change system settings using simple natural language prompts.

“With this update to Settings, you will be able to simply describe what you need help with like, ‘how to control my PC by voice’ or ‘my mouse pointer is too small’ and the agent will recommend the right steps,” said Navjot Virk, CVP of Windows Experiences. Users can even allow the agent to make the changes automatically.

This experience, initially limited to English-speaking users, will first roll out to Windows Insiders using Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs, with AMD- and Intel-based support to follow.

Microsoft is also enhancing Windows with Click to Do actions integrated across apps like Teams, Excel, and Word, allowing users to quickly trigger tasks such as “Schedule a meeting,” “Convert to table,” or “Draft with Copilot.”

On the creative side, Microsoft has added several AI-enhanced tools to core apps:

  • Photos: New Relight feature offers dynamic lighting controls.
  • Paint: Sticker Generator and Object Select simplify digital editing.
  • Snipping Tool: Perfect Screenshot refines screen captures, adds text extraction, and color picking tools.

Coming soon, Windows 11 Insiders will also see additions like AI actions in File Explorer, a Start menu phone companion, and Notepad’s new write function for generating text from prompts. Microsoft continues to test other features such as Draw & Hold for perfect shapes and AI text summarization in Notepad.
