Microsoft employees are set to receive a special one-time cash award, according to an internal memo obtained by The Verge.
This bonus will range between 10-25 percent of the value of their regular annual bonus.
The announcement comes after Microsoft’s fiscal year, reflecting the company’s strong performance in cloud and AI sectors, which have bolstered its stock price. The bonus is intended to recognize the contributions of employees and aid in retention efforts amid a competitive AI market.
This move highlights Microsoft’s commitment to rewarding its workforce and retaining top talent, especially as the demand for AI expertise continues to rise. The cash award underscores the importance of employee satisfaction and retention in maintaining the company’s competitive edge.
