Meta is expanding its Muse personal AI agent with new features designed specifically to help small businesses manage everyday work.

The company says Muse can take a goal from a business owner and handle tasks using the tools and services the business already relies on.

Muse can now connect with services including Asana, Box, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, Granola, HighLevel, Intuit QuickBooks, Klaviyo, Lovable, Notion, Shopify, Slack, Stripe, and Zoom. Businesses can also connect their Facebook and Instagram business accounts, allowing Muse to understand more about the business from the beginning.

Meta says Muse can work with information such as what a business sells, its brand style, customer questions, storefront information, financial records, and other business data. The goal is to reduce the amount of routine work small business owners need to handle themselves.

The company says small businesses have been asking for ways to save time, with many owners having to manage several different roles at once. Tom Mulholland, owner of Mulholland Grocery in Malvern, Iowa, said Muse is helping him take over some of those responsibilities so he can spend more time on the parts of his business that generate revenue.

Muse can connect to Instagram professional account analytics, Facebook Pages, and Meta advertising accounts. Once connected, it can use that information alongside other business tools to help with tasks and provide more relevant assistance.

Canva co-founder and Chief Product Officer Cameron Adams said connecting Muse with existing work and business context can make it easier for users to organize ideas and turn them into finished, on-brand content. With the Canva connection, users can access their existing templates and tools through Muse.

Meta says businesses can view the complete list of available connectors through the Muse app settings. The company also supports custom connectors, allowing businesses to connect services that are not yet officially supported.

The company is also highlighting several ways small businesses can use Muse, including asking it to review information from email, calendars, news, and other sources and identify tasks that can be handled for them.

Businesses that have tested the new features have also reported practical uses. Mulholland said he photographed employee time cards and had Muse calculate the hours, saving him time during payroll.

Meta says Muse is free for most common uses, while subscription plans are available for people who want additional capabilities. The company plans to add more connectors and skills in the coming months to allow Muse to handle more business tasks on behalf of small business owners.
