Meta is rolling out a new AI-powered translation tool for creators on Facebook and Instagram, making it easier to reach audiences in different languages.
The tool automatically dubs your Reels into another language while matching the sound of your voice and even syncing with your lip movements.
For now, the feature works only between English and Spanish, but Meta says it is similar to what the company previewed during its Connect event last year. Creators can enable the option by selecting “Translate voices with Meta AI” before publishing a Reel. There’s also a setting to add lip-syncing and review the video before it goes live.
Once published, Facebook and Instagram will automatically show the translated Reels to viewers in their preferred language, making content more accessible to global audiences. To ensure transparency, videos will carry a small tag that says they were translated using Meta AI.
The feature is currently rolling out to Facebook creators with 1,000 or more followers and to all public Instagram accounts.
By using this tool, creators can reach wider audiences without recording multiple versions of the same video, giving them new opportunities to grow their communities.
