LockBit ransomware gang has asserted its involvement in the cyberattack that recently targeted Canadian retail giant London Drugs.
The group has publicly claimed to have stolen sensitive data during the attack and is threatening to release it unless their ransom demands are met. LockBit’s claim comes after London Drugs confirmed a cyberattack earlier this month.
Today, the LockBit ransomware operation added London Drugs to its extortion portal, claiming the April cyberattack and threatening to publish data allegedly stolen from the company’s systems.

The ransomware group has reportedly demanded a substantial ransom of $25 million to prevent the data leak.
London Drugs has not yet responded publicly to LockBit’s claims.
